You've trained all year for this. While all the other kids were coloring or taking naps, you were out on the playground sharpening your hide-and-seek skills. You are a warrior. A champion. An Easter Egg gladiator. This year, Masonboro Island is your sandbox. Easter Weekend is your time to shine.

Ride the M/V Shamrock over to Masonboro Island to show the world what you can do. The boat leaves the dock (275 Waynick Blvd., directly across the street from the Blockade Runner Hotel at Wrightsville Beach) at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 19th, and at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. on Easter Sunday. Be at the dock a few minutes early so you can intimidate the competition.

Tell the grown-ups to call Captain Joe at (910) 200-4002 to make a reservation. Space is limited, so tell 'em to reserve your spot now. Tickets are $20 for your parents, and only $10 for you.

While your parents are unwinding on one of the best beaches in North Carolina, you'll be putting yourself to the test. Your basket will become a mountain of eggs, sea shells, and candy-flavored conquest that you're going to climb like a miniature Sir Edmund Hillary.

It's the third annual Wrightsville Beach Scenic Tours Easter Egg Hunt. Don't miss it.
