Crepidula fornicata

A medium-sized sea snail which has a white “deck,” where it gets its name “slipper shell.” Univalve. The species is native to the western Atlantic Ocean. It is found intertidally and in estuaries; feeds on detritus through suspension or deposit feeding. They are often found living in stacks on top of one another, on rocks, shells, and dock pilings.
